Quiet Luxe Residence – Mumbai

Quiet Luxe Residence – Mumbai

We had the opportunity to design a home in Mumbai where the client wanted the space to feel plush and grand, yet warm enough for a typical doctor’s family where time at home is precious.

Given Mumbai homes and the concern of leakages, marble cladding was chosen not just for its luxury appeal but also for durability and practicality. Here’s how we transformed the space balancing elegance, comfort, and everyday living.

The space initially felt open and neutral but lacked warmth, character, and the presence needed for a large family. Our approach was to transform this blank canvas into a plush, luxurious dining area that could comfortably accommodate big gatherings.

1

By introducing marble finishes, suede upholstered chairs, and layered warm lighting, the space evolved into one that feels rich yet inviting. The neutral base was retained to keep it timeless, while textures and soft furnishings added depth, comfort, and a sense of luxury.

2

The result is a dining space that feels elegant, indulgent, and designed for togetherness.

3

Designed with wall-to-wall marble finishes, the space feels seamless, bright, and expansive. The open layout allows easy movement and comfortable seating, making it ideal for a large family to gather, connect, and spend time together luxurious yet effortlessly livable.

5

Pair of luxurious wing chairs add a sense of elegance and relaxation to the space. Upholstered in plush fabric with graceful curves, they create a cozy yet refined seating experience. Positioned against the marble backdrop, the swings introduce movement, comfort, and a subtle statement of indulgence perfect for moments of pause within a grand living area.

6

The entryway is designed to feel quietly luxurious and composed, using a soft neutral palette that instantly sets a calm tone. Marble-finished walls paired with warm wood panels create a balanced contrast elegant yet understated. Subtle linear lighting highlights the vertical lines, adding depth without visual clutter.

The master bedroom is designed to feel warm and inviting, with a plush upholstered bed anchoring the space. Soft blue wall paneling paired with mustard accents adds depth while keeping the palette soothing. The layered bedding, textured rug, and gentle natural light filtering through sheer curtains create a restful, cocoon-like atmosphere perfect for unwinding.

This bedroom was designed to feel luxurious yet airy, using lighter tones to visually expand the space. With structural columns limiting layout flexibility, the design focuses on clean lines, soft textures, and integrated elements to maximise usability without clutter. The result is a calm, refined bedroom that feels open, balanced, and thoughtfully resolved despite its compact footprint.

The kitchen is styled to feel real, functional, and lived-in, while retaining its clean, modern aesthetic. The soft blue cabinetry is complemented by a light quartz countertop and subtle textured backsplash, creating a calm and fresh palette. Everyday elements like neatly placed oil bottles, a pot on the stove, and fresh produce on the counter add a sense of active use, making the space feel warm and practical rather than staged.

Overall, it reads as a working kitchen that balances efficiency with elegance organized, inviting, and designed for daily cooking without visual clutter.
