The heart of this project lies a commitment to restoring all that was vintage in this house! We meticulously consider every detail, from the selection of high-quality materials to ensuring that each space we design is as unique as the individuals who inhabit it.
Our design philosophy emphasizes the harmony between form and function, crafting spaces that are not only beautiful but also practical. This cozy urban apartment, a spacious family home is a classic example of restoring everything that was old and now is recycled and reused and looks not just chic but reflects the personality and lifestyle of our clients.
The Deshmukh residence is a harmonious blend of old-world charm and modern elegance. The original character of the home, like intricate woodwork, antique fixtures, and classic architectural details like the arches, are preserved and enhanced. The renovation breathes new life into the space, with bright, airy rooms that flow seamlessly. High ceilings, expansive windows, and open floor plans invite natural light, creating a sense of warmth and openness. The home feels both nostalgic and contemporary, offering comfort and luxury while retaining its timeless appeal.
In this vintage home of Deshmukh’s, we have restored all the original features like the vintage wooden door, arched doorways and furniture! These elements have been carefully restored, repaired, painted leading to refinishing that highlights their historic charm.
The entire wall unit with storage and bench was refurbished. We converted an open shelf into a cabinet to store shoes and provided a storage solution. Potted plants in old brass containers bring life to the space and add a touch of greenery.
The overall atmosphere is one of warmth and welcome, blending the old and the new seamlessly. The space feels lived-in yet refreshed, with every element telling a story of its past while serving a new purpose in the present.
Boho-chic decor is known for its vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and a mix of traditional and contemporary elements that create a warm and inviting atmosphere. At Aru & Shounak’s home we used zellige mint tiles around the doorway, used the cast iron lanterns with intricate cutout patterns which cast beautiful shadows and provide warm, ambient lighting. We also made a white bricked wall to make the small entryway look big. And of course one can’t wall frames and potted plants to bring life and a touch of nature to the entrance!
Everything arched while designing spaces is hot & trending! This arched niche gives a soft feel to this vintage home. With a bricked wall to highlight the niche, we added a minimalist clock, antique comfy chairs to relax and a display of some brass ornamental pots and urns to give a mix and match of vintage and contemporary!
This space features clean, minimalist lines with light, neutral colours that brighten the room and create an airy feel. It’s an open kitchen with reduced clutter, while the dining area has a sleek wooden table and simple chairs, maximizing floor space. Natural materials such as wood and brick cladding bring warmth to the decor, complemented by soft lighting and a few carefully chosen decorative accents like potted plants and elegant pendant lights. The overall design emphasizes simplicity, spaciousness, and functionality.
Lastly, we have created a bright and cheerful space at home that’s essential for boosting our work-from-home experience. This lively environment helps break the monotony and keeps Aru motivated and inspired throughout the day!
We loved designing the Deshmukh residence because it’s filled with beautiful features and a sense of openness. This inspired us to infuse the space with artistic and creative touches, making the house even more stunning!
