Elevated Living: Innovative Terrace Designs for Modern Residential Spaces

At Ranade Realtors, we had an opportunity to design a common interface for a residential building which was a bit tricky. Some of the aspects, we designers have to keep in mind are :

1. Diverse user needs: Residents often have varying preferences and abilities, requiring a terrace that is both functional and adaptable, from young families to elderly occupants.

2. Aesthetic consistency vs. personalization: Balancing the need for a uniform design while allowing individual residents to personalize their spaces can be challenging.

3. Accessibility standards: Ensuring compliance with accessibility laws while maintaining aesthetics is also very important.

4. Technology integration: Incorporating smart building systems (e.g., intercoms, security) in a way that is intuitive for all residents, regardless of their tech-savviness, can complicate the design.

5. Budget constraints: Working within the financial limitations of the project, especially when higher-quality or more adaptable solutions may be desired.

6. Cultural and social factors: The design must consider the cultural
diversity of the residents, reflecting communal spaces that are welcoming to all without favoring certain lifestyles.

7. Green Building Certification: this building is green building
certified and hence we had to use material that strictly adhered to the compliance. These factors make creating a seamless and user-friendly terrace a complex balancing act.
